Welcome

My drums are traditional 7 sided Anishinaabe style drums on hand-made Redwood frames. The drums have a beautiful resonance and range from 14 inch to 21 inches.  The hide is usually Elk,  Buffalo or horsehide, each with their own special medicine. Occasionally I am called to use a combination by using a different lacing to the drum head. The drum beaters are also hand made, usually of willow, manzanita or sycamore collected locally.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions on sizes and availability. Painted designs also available for an additional fee. Talk to me about your design.
Seven is sacred to the Anishinaabe. Love, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, Humility & Wisdom are the Seven Grandfather Teachings or principles of character to live by.
Each of these teachings must be used with the rest. You cannot have Wisdom without Love, Respect, Bravery, Honesty, Humility, and Truth. You cannot be Honest if you are only using one of the other teachings. To leave out one teaching would be embracing the opposite of what the teaching means.” Native peoples stay in touch with and connect to the spiritual world through the drum. The beat can transcend and change the state of mind and being, to the sacred and is a means of communicating with Great Spirit in a way that is connected to the heartbeat of Mother Earth and reminds us to be sincere in our actions, character, and words. Ultimately, the drum brings people together - this speaks volumes of the power of the drum. Bring healing with its resonance and when wanting to create or carry your prayers to spirit. Look after your drum and it will look after you.
